China Grove, NC 4/15/08- Rich Gould is known to fans and his fellow competitors alike as one of the most personable drivers off the track but is seen as an exciting driver to watch on the track. The NASCAR Camping World East Series driver is looking forward to his third consecutive start in the series season opener at Greenville-Pickens Speedway on April 19th. Gould will be piloting the #58 Crewschool.com/Jameson Inn of Easley Chevy Monte Carlo looking to improve on a career best finish of twentieth at the South Carolina upstate track.

However, for Gould, this season’s version of the race will have quite a different feel as younger brother, Phil Gould, car chief of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Clint Bowyer, will be serving as the team’s crew chief making the calls atop the team’s pit box. It’s something that has Rich really looking forward to the upcoming race.

“It just happened to work out that the [Sprint] Cup Series is off that weekend so I asked Phil if he would help us out and that was pretty much it. We have Jameson Inn of Easley helping us out for this event, so I want to thank them for their support because it’s relationships like this that make a difference in short track racing,” said Gould.

The plans call for the #58 team to make six starts on the 2008 NASCAR Camping World East Series schedule. The dates expected: April 19th Greenville-Pickens Speedway, May 31st South Boston Speedway, June 27th New Hampshire Motor Speedway, July 19th Music City Motorplex, August 23rd Mansfield Motorsports Park, and September 19th Dover International Speedway.

“We have put together a decent schedule that I feel will fit our team just right. It’s a wide variety of tracks for me with some great locations and target market areas for the right sponsor. As of right now we have primary, associate, and product sponsorships available for each or all six events,” added Gould.
