the man:
rich gould
Rich Gould, a native of New Jersey, began his racing career at
the legendary high banks of Wall Township Speedway in Wall, New
Jersey in 1998 competing in the track’s street stock division.
After a successful rookie season which saw three top-5’s and ten
top-10’s in only fourteen starts, Rich decided to continue
honing his driving skills and gain valuable experience in this
competitive division for the next three years.
By 2001, Rich decided it was time to take his career to the next
level and move to the premier division at the track by the
shore, the open-wheeled modified division. Rich entered eighteen
of the twenty-six events that year and just missed being crowned
Rookie of the Year by a mere ten points.
It was in 2005 when Rich made the leap to the NASCAR Camping
World East series. That year Rich made limited starts in the
series until the following year when he would campaign the full
season schedule where he went on to finish 20th in
the final points standings. In 2007 Rich scaled back his
schedule to just three starts but posted his career best finish
in the series, 10th place at the Music City Motorplex
in Nashville, Tennessee and followed it up with an 11th
place finish at the season finale at Dover International
Speedway in Dover, Delaware |
